Developed by Biofeedback Therapist Jennifer Stephens, M.A.
"Jennifer Stephens first approached me about her interest in the natural bladder treatment for urinary incontinence in 1991...When Jennifer described newer bladder control exercises which seemingly offered a “risk-free” alternative to surgery, I was very interested if slightly skeptical. At that time, there were only a few studies which discussed “pelvic floor rehabilitation” via biofeedback techniques. Jennifer’s experience with biofeedback and her excitement over its use to improve pelvic floor strength and decrease incontinence convinced me to look further.
I decided to take a chance on this new approach to incontinence and was not disappointed by what I observed over the years to come. My patients were clearly getting better after seeing Jennifer...."

Question: Are all these articles about third hand smoke true?
(Posted by: DEPP*FAN on 2010-03-01 06:00:05)
If people are saying that you shouldnt buy a second hand car that has been smoked in, I am worried because I have just bought some bedroom furniture- wardrobes etc - for my little girl and I noticed the delivery guys smoked in the delivery van! Should I be concerned that the furniture is covered in toxic smoke? Will simply wiping it over with antibacterial spar and water get rid of all of it??

It,ll be fine. the smoke dissipates . it,s long term exposure to smoke that contaminates furniture. my ex bro in law bought a home that had housed smokers for years. it stunk for over a year. i would have never bought it.

Unless you are planning to lick the whole of the cars interior then you will be fine,, however if do have and urge to lick the inside of your car then i would suggest buying a new one as these taste much better

I dont believe that for a second. For smoke to harm someone, I think it needs to be inhaled to get into the lungs. So smoking and second hand smoke are really the only ways it can cause harm. Over the years many children were brought up in homes filled with second hand smoke and even then, it is not particularly common for second hand smoke to cause problems. I really wouldnt worry about it! :-)

I dont know. I mean, its clear that third hand smoke exists.... Have you ever cleaned the windsheild of a smoker that smokes in their car? The same stuff builds up on any surface. They are saying that the chemicals in that build up are dangerous. So, for the poster that was saying smoke has to be inhaled, third hand smoke isnt literally talking about smoke in the air, its talking about the residue left on surfaces. But, it takes a while to get that build up. One incident of a delivery driver smoking on the delivery is not going to cause any problems.
